Institution Access
Security system settings are a system-wide resource without any institution identity.
Adding
Security system settings cannot be added.
Editing
Security system settings can be edited by users with Security Settings Manage permission.
Cloning
Security system settings cannot be cloned.
Deactivating or Deleting
Security system settings cannot be deactivated or deleted.

Security system settings fields are located in the following places in the RALS™ SYSTEM:

When viewing or editing the security system setting’s details, the fields are defined as follows:

Password Complexity | |
Password Complexity | When enabled, operator password requires specified complexity |
Number of Character Categories | Number of character categories for which operator passwords must contain at least one character; character categories: Uppercase Letters, Lowercase Letters, Numbers, Special Characters |
Minimum Length | Minimum number of characters in an operator password |
Repeating Characters Limit | Number of times the same character can appear sequentially within an operator’s password |
Password Expiration | |
Password Expiration | When enabled, operator password will expire |
Password Expires After | Number of days until the operator’s password expires after being changed |
Minimum Password Age | Number of days until the operator can change their own password after their password is changed |
Login Lock | |
Login Lock | When enabled, operators will be locked from login after failed attempts |
Failed Login Limit | Number of unsuccessful login attempts operator is allowed before login is locked |
Login Lock Duration | Number of minutes that the operator is locked before login can be reattempted; if no value is defined, operators will be locked out until manually unlocked by a user with Operator Manage permission |

Logout Inactive Users After | Number of minutes that the operator will remain logged in when inactive; when the specified time has elapsed, the operator will be automatically logged out |
