Device Configuration

Device configurations can be imported into the RALS™ SYSTEM from a source file.

When performing a device configuration import, the source data must be in a JSON file. A device configuration import file can contain rows for adding new device configuration data and/or editing existing device configuration data. If the Configuration Name already exists in the target system for the same device type and institution, then the record will be edited; otherwise the record will be added. The data in the import file is processed top to bottom.

File Format

Device configuration import files must:

• be in JSON format;
• contain the expected header row; and
• must not be modified after export.

Review Import

Prior to import, you can review device configuration import information, including:

• File name
• Language
• Number of added configurations
• Number of edited configurations

If changes are unable to be made, the errors will be displayed in a table for your reference.
