Session Statuses
A session will be in one of the following states:

Failed | Device failed to download | |
Unassigned | Device does not have assigned location | |
Started | Device download started | |
Ended By Device | Device ended session | |
Superseded | Device started a new session | |
Succeeded | Device downloaded successfully | |
Ended | Device session ended | |
Decommissioned | Device type is decommissioned |
Institution Access
A device session’s institution identity is its device’s assigned location’s parent institution.
Adding
Device sessions cannot be manually added; they are automatically added for some device types.
Editing
Device sessions cannot be edited.
Cloning
Device sessions cannot be cloned.
Deactivating or Deleting
Device sessions cannot be deactivated, nor deleted.
Fields
When viewing device sessions in a data table, the fields are defined as follows:

Address | Address in from which the device is communicating |
Assigned Location | RALS™ SYSTEM location assigned to the device |
Device | Name of device |
Device Type | Type of device |
Download Location | Location of the device session (based on download point) |
Download Time | When the device session was initiated; if multiple time zone support is enabled, this is relative to your time zone preference |
Duration | How long the device session lasted |
Encryption | Version of encryption being used by the device |
Has Results | Indicates if results exist for the device |
Mode | Communication mode used during the device session |
Other Results | Number of non-patient results downloaded during the device session |
Patient Results | Number of patient results downloaded during the device sessions |
Port | Port from which the device is connected |
Protocol | Protocol for which the device is communicating |
Results | Number of results sent from the device |
Session Key | Single-use symmetric key for encrypting the message in the communication session |
Status | Status of the device sessions |
Version | Firmware version of device |
