How do I know which time zone I am using to view data?

If support for multiple time zones is enabled, your time zone preference is available on the preferences dialog and on your operator details page. The current time in your selected time zone is also displayed on the RALS™ SYSTEM toolbar. See Preferences for more information.

If support for multiple time zones is not enabled, all dates and times will be displayed using your computer’s time zone.

How is the time zone of a device determined?

A device inherits its time zone from its location. See Multiple Time Zones.

What happens if the time zone of a location becomes invalid?

If the location’s time zone is invalid, results from all devices assigned to that location will not be processed in the RALS™ SYSTEM until a valid time zone is selected for the location. See Multiple Time Zones.

What happens if I run a result with a recently expired material?

When the RALS™ SYSTEM is checking for flags in a result, the date when the result was created in the time zone of the device is used to calculate if the material was expired.
