Institution Access
A device configuration’s institution identity is defined by user selection when the configuration is created. The assigned institution cannot be changed later.
Location Assignment
Each location can only be assigned to one device configuration. When assigning locations, users can select a location that is already assigned to another device configuration. The location will be unassigned from the previous device configuration and reassigned to the new configuration.
Default Sets
Each institution has a default device configuration. Locations not specifically assigned to a device configuration will use their institution’s default configuration.
Default device configurations are read only; they cannot be edited nor cannot be deleted.
Adding
Device configurations can be added for device types that:
- are enabled in the system; and
- support bi-directional communication with configuration settings.
See Add Fields for more information.
Editing
All device configurations can be edited, except for default configurations. See View or Edit Details Fields for more information.
