Network Configurations
The RALS™ SYSTEM provides the ability to configure network settings by device type. Network configuration settings vary across device types.

Institution Access
A network configuration’s institution identity is defined by user selection when the configuration is created. The assigned institution cannot be changed later.
Adding
Network configurations can be manually added for device types that support network configuration.
Editing
Network configurations can be edited.
Cloning
Network configurations can be cloned. All values will be copied, except:
Field | Notes |

Name | You will be prompted to enter a new one |
Institution | You will be prompted to enter a new one |
Locations | Defaults to no assigned locations |
Devices | Defaults to no assigned devices |
Deactivating or Deleting
Network configurations can be deleted. A deleted network configuration cannot be reactivated.
Static IP Addresses Action
The Static IP Addresses action allows you to configure any active ACCU-CHEK® Inform II device within your institution access to use static IP addresses.
The following fields are available for ACCU-CHEK® Inform II devices in the Assign Static IP Addresses dialog:

Static IP | Denotes whether or not a static IP address is assigned |
Device IP | Identifier associated with the ACCU-CHEK® Inform II device |
MAC Address | MAC address associated with the ACCU-CHEK® Inform II device |
IP Address | Static IP Address assigned to the device |
Subnet Mask | Subnet Mask assigned to the device |
Default Gateway | Default Gateway assigned to the device |

Data Table Fields
When viewing network configurations in a data table, the fields are defined as follows:

Add Fields
When adding a network configuration, the fields are defined as follows:

Note: When using CONNECT Universal Gateway, assign each CONNECT Universal Gateway to its own network configuration, i.e. one network configuration per CONNECT Universal Gateway. If you want to use the same set of network settings for multiple CONNECT Universal Gateway’s, create a unique network configuration by using the same set of settings with a unique network configuration name.
