General Rules of Migration Import
Select Source
When importing patient ranges sets, the following fields allow the destination RALS™ SYSTEM to connect to the remote source RALS™ SYSTEM:
- URL of the remote source RALS™ SYSTEM
- Must be the same version as the destination RALS™ SYSTEM
- Proper formatting for the remote source URL is http(s)://IPAddress/ (Do not append any additional words.)
- Operator ID and Password of a support operator in the remote source RALS™ SYSTEM
Select Data
After the destination RALS™ SYSTEM has connected to the remote source RALS™ SYSTEM, the patient ranges sets available for import will be displayed in a table. You can filter, sort, select, and de-select patient ranges sets in this table. Selected patient ranges sets will be processed for import.
Select Mappings
For each institution in the source system that corresponds to a selected patient ranges set, you need to select a mapping for the destination system. Newly added patient ranges sets are mapped to the selected institution, while updated patient ranges sets maintain the institution selected in the destination system.
Review Import
Prior to import, you can review the import information for patient ranges sets, including:
- Number of added patient ranges sets
- Number of edited patient ranges sets
- Number of invalid patient ranges sets (will NOT be imported)
If any specimen types will be added during the import, they will be included in the Other Data count. When the same specimen type exists across multiple resource records to be imported, it will be included in the count only once.
All selected patient ranges sets, including patient ranges sets that will be imported and patient ranges sets that will not be imported, will be displayed in the TSV file for your reference.
General Rules of Migration Import
During the import, the RALS™ SYSTEM will import the values from the remote source system into the destination system.
Uniqueness of patient ranges sets is determined by the patient ranges set name (case insensitive), device type, and institution. When there is no match, it is considered a new patient range set which will be added to the destination system. When an existing patient range set is updated in the destination system, the values will be updated from the source system. The institution and location assignments in the destination system for an existing patient range set will remain the same if there is an exact match between name, device type and institution. When there is an exact match between name and device type, but not institution, the RALS™ SYSTEM will then use the mapped institution in the Select Mapping step to see if there is a match. If there is a match, the values from the remote source system will be updated on the destination system for the matched patient range set.
It is recommended that you enable the relevant device types in the destination system before importing. A device type does not need to be enabled in the destination system in order for the import to occur. However, if the device type is not enabled, you will be unable to see the patient ranges sets until you enable the device type.
