Selecting Questions
When creating a quiz, you must select a set of questions. The set of questions available for selection on a quiz is based on the quiz’s device type and institution.
The number of questions presented on a quiz is configurable. Questions on a quiz may be marked as required or optional. Questions marked as required will always appear in the quiz. Questions marked as optional may appear in the quiz. The number of optional questions can exceed the configured number of questions to be presented in the quiz. After including all required questions, the optional questions will be randomly selected when generating the quiz.
Assigning a Quiz
There are three methods for assigning a quiz. Each quiz may use more than one assignment method. The quiz will be assigned to operators if they match ANY of the specified criteria. If an operator matches more than one criterion, they will only be assigned once.

Unassigning a Quiz
An operator can become unassigned from a quiz if the assignment criteria changes. When an operator is unassigned, any existing quiz attempts will be preserved for historical purposes.
Previewing a Quiz
Once created, a quiz can be previewed. The quiz will be displayed as read-only.
Institution Access
A quiz’s institution identity is defined when the quiz is created. The institution cannot be changed later. The institution selected on a quiz determines which questions are available for selection and which operators can be assigned to it.
Certification Group Access
A quiz’s certification group identity is defined by the certification group selected for the quiz. Only quizzes within a user’s certification group access will be visible; see Certification Group Access for more information.
Adding
Quizzes can be added.
Editing
Active quizzes can be edited at any time (regardless of whether the quiz is assigned).
Cloning
Quizzes can be cloned. All values will be copied except:

Deactivating or Deleting
Quizzes can be deactivated. When a quiz is deactivated, the assignments are hidden (regardless of assignment status). Questions selected on the quiz will not be deactivated nor unselected.
