ADT Units
ADT units are used to understand a patient’s location within a facility. Mapping ADT units to RALS™ SYSTEM locations provides the context necessary to understand the relationship between patient locations and RALS™ SYSTEM locations. This enables the use of more granular patient matching in the RALS™ SYSTEM via in-unit verification as well as the creation and upload of better targeted patient lists to devices.

ADT Unit Statuses
An ADT unit will be in one of the following states:

Mapped Locations
A RALS™ SYSTEM location can be mapped to an ADT unit. Mapped location/ADT unit pairings can also be assigned parent/child relationships. For more information about ADT mapping and parent/child locations, see ADT Mapping.
Institution Access
For ADT units created automatically by the RALS™ SYSTEM, the ADT unit’s institution is assigned based on the patient’s institution. A manually-added ADT unit’s institution identity is defined by user selection when the ADT unit is created. The assigned institution cannot be changed later.

Editing
ADT units can be edited. See View or Edit Details Fields for more information.
Cloning
ADT units cannot be cloned.
Deactivating or Deleting
ADT units cannot be deactivated nor deleted.
ADT Unit Actions
Set to NPOC
The Set to NPOC action allows users to apply the NPOC status to one or more ADT units simultaneously. When the Set to NPOC action is selected, each selected ADT unit is marked NPOC and, if applicable, unmapped from any mapped location.
NOTE: After the Set to NPOC action is selected, the user must edit ADT units individually to uncheck NPOC and map a location, if desired.

Data Table Fields
When viewing ADT units in a data table, the fields are defined as follows:
