Prioritizing
Panels are displayed on the outbound configuration details page in priority order. Panels can be reordered to change their priority.
Institution Access
Panels are system-wide resources.
Adding
Panels can be added by customer support. See Add Fields for more information.
Editing
Panels can be edited by customer support. See View or Edit Details Fields for more information.
Cloning
Panels cannot be cloned.
Deactivating or Deleting
Panels can be deleted. Once deleted, a panel cannot be restored.
Fields
Panel fields are located in the following places in the RALS™ SYSTEM:
Data Table Fields
When viewing panels in a data table, the fields are defined as follows:
Field | Notes |
---|---|
Outbound Configurations | |
Outbound Configuration | Outbound configuration to which the panel belongs |
Device Type | Device type associated with the outbound configuration |
Panels | |
Panel Key | Unique identifier |
Panel Active | Indicates whether the panel is currently active |
Panel Priority | Indicates the panel’s priority in relation to other panels (based on the display order of the panels on the outbound configuration) |
Panel Name | Panel’s name |
Panel HIS Panel Code | Universal Service ID |
Panel Test Types | Panel’s test types |
Panel Specimen Types | Panel’s specimen types |
Panel Specimen Type LIS Name (Override) | Text that overrides specimen type’s LIS name |
Panel Empty Values (Override) | The string entered into Empty Values (Override) will be sent to the LIS as a parameter’s value if (1) Always Send is checked AND (2) either the parameter is not listed in the result or the parameter is listed but has an empty value AND (3) Exclude Empty is checked |
Panel Notes | Open text field that can be used at your discretion |
Parameters | Only enabled parameters are displayed in the data table |
Parameter Group | Common, Uncommon, or Respiratory |
Parameter Name | Name of the parameter |
Parameter LIS Name | Name used for the parameter when sent via result JSON |
Parameter Required | Indicates analyte must be present on the result for the panel to be matched |
Parameter Exclude Empty | Indicates analyte is excluded if value is empty; this will prevent a required analyte received with an empty value in the result from being matched to this panel |
Parameter Always Send | The string entered into Empty Values (Override) will be sent to the LIS as a parameter’s value if (1) Always Send is checked AND (2) either the parameter is not listed in the result or the parameter is listed but has an empty value AND (3) Exclude Empty is checked |
Parameter Sort Order | The order in which the parameters are sent; lower numbers are sent first |
Add Fields
When adding a panel, the fields are defined as follows:
Field | Notes |
---|---|
Name | Panel’s name; must be unique within configuration; case-insensitive |
HIS Panel Code | Universal Service ID |
Test Types | Panel’s test types |
Specimen Types | Panel’s specimen types; if none are selected, then the panel can be matched to results using any specimen type |
Specimen Type LIS Name (Override) | Text that overrides specimen type’s LIS name |
Empty Values (Override) | The string entered into Empty Values (Override) will be sent to the LIS as a parameter’s value if (1) Always Send is checked AND (2) either the parameter is not listed in the result or the parameter is listed but has an empty value AND (3) Exclude Empty is checked |
Notes | Open text field that can be used at your discretion |
Enabled Parameters | List of enabled parameters for the device type available to be included in a message to LIS |
LIS Name | Name used for the parameter when sent via result JSON |
Required | Indicates analyte must be present on the result for the panel to be matched |
Exclude Empty | Indicates analyte is excluded if value is empty; this will prevent a required analyte received with an empty value in the result from being matched to this panel |
Always Send | The string entered into Empty Values (Override) will be sent to the LIS as a parameter’s value if (1) Always Send is checked AND (2) either the parameter is not listed in the result or the parameter is listed but has an empty value AND (3) Exclude Empty is checked; can be empty |
Sort Order | The order in which the parameters are sent; lower numbers are sent first |
