LDAP Sessions
LDAP sessions log information related to LDAP configuration syncs. LDAP sessions are recorded each time an LDAP configuration attempts to sync with an LDAP server.

Status
An LDAP session’s status will be in one of the following states:
Icon | Status | Notes |
---|---|---|
Successful | LDAP session resulted in a successful import of LDAP operator information | |
No Operators | LDAP session resulted in no operator information sent from the LDAP server | |
Error | LDAP session resulted in an error due to a problem with the import process, which may result in a partial import of operators | |
Operator Failure | LDAP session resulted in a failure to add, edit, activate, and/or deactivate RALS™ SYSTEM operators because of an error with one or more LDAP person entities; when the LDAP session is in an Operator Failure state, the Operators With Errors column in the LDAP Sessions data table will display the count of affected LDAP person entities | |
Patch Failure | LDAP session resulted in a failure due to a communication problem with the LDAP configuration after the sync occurs | |
Failed | LDAP session resulted in a failure due to a connection problem with the LDAP server |
Adding
LDAP sessions cannot be manually added.
Editing
LDAP sessions cannot be edited.
Cloning
LDAP sessions cannot be cloned.
Deactivating or Deleting
LDAP sessions cannot be deactivated nor deleted.

Data Table Fields
When viewing LDAP sessions in a data table (under Logs in the navigation), the fields are defined as follows:

Activated Operators | Number of operators that the LDAP configuration attempted to activate |
Added Operators | Number of operators that the LDAP configuration attempted to add |
Deactivated Operators | Number of operators that the LDAP configuration attempted to deactivate |
Edited Operators | Number of operators that the LDAP configuration attempted to edit |
Error | If populated, contains error encountered by the request |
LDAP Configuration | LDAP configuration that was synced |
Operators With Errors | Number of LDAP person entities that were not added, edited, activated and/or deactivated in the RALS™ SYSTEM because of a validation error; does not include errors due to duplicate Operator IDs or LDAP Unique IDs |
Request | Request made to the LDAP server |
Response | Response received from the LDAP server |
Session Time | Date and time when the LDAP Interface begins processing the sync |
Status | Status of the most recent sync session; see Status for more information |
Synced By | Operator who executed the sync; when a sync occurs automatically, this field is populated with ‘Automated Process’ |
