Patient data is received from an inbound interface and cannot be created manually in the RALS™ SYSTEM. Patients will exist if the RALS™ SYSTEM is receiving an ADT feed. This data is read-only in the RALS™ SYSTEM.

Institution Access
A patient’s institution identity is defined by the patient’s location. The patient’s location is automatically determined by the patient’s most recent ADT event received from the inbound hospital system.
Adding
Patients cannot be added manually.
Editing
Patients can be edited.
Cloning
Patients cannot be cloned.
Deactivating or Deleting
Patients can only be deleted via patient purge. To learn more, see Patient Purge Sets.

Patient fields are located in the following places in the RALS™ SYSTEM:
Data Table Fields
When viewing patients in a data table, the fields are defined as follows:

| Attending Physician | Physician associated with the patient’s most recent ADT event |
| Birth Date | Birth date of the patient; always displayed and used as entered, if multiple time zone support is enabled it is never adjusted for time zone |
| Discharged | Indicates whether the patient was discharged |
| Last Update Time | Last time an update was made to the patient in the RALS™ SYSTEM; if multiple time zone support is enabled, this is relative to your time zone preference |
