Institution Access
A report’s institution identity is defined based on your selection upon record generation.
If you have Access All Institutions, you can create and see reports with no selected institution (i.e., a report for all institutions).
Incomplete reports can be accessed by all users.
Generating
Reports are automatically saved when generated. Initially, the report status will be Pending. Once the PDF has been generated, the status will transition to Saved.
If report generation takes more than 60 minutes, the status will transition to Failed. (If a report times out, it is probably because the Reports Service isn’t running.)
The criteria fields are not filtered based on available result data or selections already made. It is possible to generate an empty report.
Adding
Reports can be added. See Add Fields for more information.
Editing
Only non-legacy reports can be edited. All values can be edited, except:
Field Name | Notes |
---|---|
Report Status | The report status will automatically update to reflect the state of the report |
Institution | Cannot be changed after the report is created |
Report Type | Cannot be changed after the report is created |
Notes | Cannot be changed after the report is created |
See View or Edit Details Fields for more information on editing a report.
Reports can be bulk edited and bulk reviewed. While reviewing a group, individual reports can be removed from the group if desired. After all reports in the group have been viewed, the entire group can be marked as reviewed. See Report Reviews for more information on reviewing reports.
Bulk editing is not available in Internet Explorer.
Cloning
Reports can be cloned. Cloning a report copies all criteria, except:
Field Name | Notes |
---|---|
Reviews | Associated reviews are not copied |
Notes | Existing Notes will be copied but can be edited while cloning |
Deactivating or Deleting
Saved reports can be deleted. Deleted reports cannot be restored. Incomplete, pending, and reviewed reports cannot be deleted.
Report Actions
The following actions are available for reports:
Review
See Report Reviews for more information.
Delete Reviews
The delete reviews action allows you to delete all reviews at once for a given report. A special permission is required. Once the reviews associated with the record have been deleted, the record itself can be deleted.
