Result Notifications
Adding a notification note to a result in RALS provides documentation for regulatory purposes. When a clinician is notified, it can be recorded on the result in RALS. A result can have multiple notification notes, and RALS stores this information indefinitely.

Institution Access
A notification note’s institution identity is defined by the parent result.
Adding
One or more notification note(s) can be added manually to a result.
Editing
Once a notification note is added to a result, it cannot be edited.
Cloning
A notification note cannot be cloned.
Deactivating or Deleting
Once a notification note is added to a result, it cannot be deleted.
Fields
When adding a notification note to a result, the fields are defined as follows:
Field | Notes |
---|---|
Material | For non-patient results; the material used while performing the non-patient test |
Patient | For patient results only; the patient associated with the result |
Notification Time | Time the notification was recorded |
Notified By | Operator who recorded the notification |
Clinician Notified | The person who was notified |
Status | Indicates whether the notification was Attempted or Successful |
Notification Action | Text describing the notification action |
